Friday Lunch on the Lily
New for 2023 are Friday Lunches! We’ve themed our meals to rivers around the world. If you took a river cruise on the Rhine, you would enjoy German food. The Mississippi? Cajun, of course! Check out our rivers and menus and pick which meal, or meals, tempt your palate.
Note: Our apologies, there are no substitutions with these meals. They are only served as presented.
June 30 – Fraser River British Columbia, Canada – We start our series close to home! Enjoy honey and ginger glazed wild BC salmon served with a wild mushroom risotto and a strawberry spinach salad with a poppy seed dressing.
July 7 – Dnipro River, Ukraine – Ukraine and her people have heavily influenced our province from the early 1900s to present day. Celebrate the food that Saskatchewan has adopted! We’ll be serving Traditional Rice Cabbage Rolls, Kielbasa Sausage and pan fried perogies served with beet borscht.
July 14 – Danube River, Austria – We don’t have any Alps to get in the way of the view, but don’t get in the way of passengers rushing in to enjoy Wiener Schnitzel on a crusty roll topped with an apple braised red cabbage served with fresh cut potato and a cucumber dill salad.
July 21 – Mississippi River, Louisiana USA – Who needs Mardis Gras to enjoy a Crispy Chicken Po’boy on a French Baguette with a Creole Remoulade served with a Jambalaya rice and a fresh pear and mixed berry summer salad.
July 28 – Saskatchewan River, Saskatchewan Canada – It’s nice to be away, but, boy is it nice to be home. We’ve got Grilled Bison Burger served on a Bun with juniper berry BBQ sauce, sharp cheddar, crisp lettuce and ripe tomato with a tender spring salad with Saskatoon berry vinaigrette.
August 4 – River Thames, London England – Who can resist an all time favourite. British style fish and tartar sauce served with warm kettle chips and coleslaw.
August 11 – Ohio River, USA – The American south always has great food. Enjoy traditional Southern Fried Chicken served with baked Mac & Cheese, Bread and a Black-eyed pea salad.
August 18 – Rio Brava, Mexico – Saskatchewanians love Mexico in the winter. We’ve got a taste of it for summer too! Join us for Traditional Birria Tacos served with Corn Elote and a Mexican salad.
August 25 – Rhine River, Germany – Captain Mike instisted on something from his German roots! Just like his father made, feast on Beef Rouladen served with sauteed herb Spaetzle and a citrus roasted beet salad.
BEVERAGE ADD-ONS – (19+ only) Great food should always be paired with a great beverage! We’ve got the option to add on a glass or bottle of an alcoholic beverage paired to your meal. Why have just the food, when you can have the drink too? You can pre-purchase your drinks when you buy your meal tickets.
